Today crews from the three surrounding departments worked together to help spread the Fire Prevention message to the students and staff at Dr. Higdon Elementary School.

This years 2022 Fire Prevention message is “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.” works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe from home fires.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week.

Please take the time and have a discussion with your family about your plan if a fire breaks out in your home.

Emphasize to your loved ones to never go back in to retrieve an item or pet!

Help teach your children their address, in case they need to call 911 for an emergency.
